(MENAFN) Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority’s (RTA) Executive Director and Chairman of the Board, Mattar Al Tayer, said that the Dubai Taxi Corporation’s (DTC) total revenues in 2011 jumped 22 percent from 2010’s USD235.25 million to USD287 million, reported Emirates 24/7.
Al Tayer added that around USD266.46 million of the total amount were operational revenues, whereas USD21.50 million were non-operational revenues.
He also said that total profits in the period surged 28 percent from the USD31.21 million recorded a year earlier to USD39.73 million.
It is worth noting that in 2011, expenditure of the DTC reached USD202.77 million, compared with 2010’s expenses of around USD162.62 million.
