(MENAFN) Dubai’s foreign trade reached USD362.32 billion in 2014, marking 0.15 percent increase over the USD361.78 billion of 2013, according to a governmental statement, Arabian Business reported.
The state’s imports accounted for USD230 billion in 2014. Exports and re-exports contributed in USD31 billion and USD101.26 billion, correspondingly.
Direct trade accounted for USD222.89 billion. Free zones, on the other hand, accounted for USD133 billion and the customs warehouses accounted for USD6.47billion.
‘The steady growth for Dubai’s non-oil foreign trade, with the powerful performance in other economic sectors, open new horizons for plenty of promising opportunities;’ the Chairman of Dubai Executive Council said.
