(MENAFN) Dubai’s tourism sector recorded a 12 increase in visitor numbers over the first two months of this year, with more than 3mn people visiting the country.
Among the cited period of the year, Dubai saw a 60 percent growth in overnight tourists from China and attracted a total of 157.000 Chinese visitors.
Recently, Russian visitation jumped to 84 percent year-on-year, with a total of 65.000 Russian travellers in the first two months.
Moreover, the country has made efforts to attract visitors from China and it also worked to increase the number of Mandarin-speaking customer service representatives for tourism activities.
