(MENAFN) Dubai recorded an increase in total non-oil trade by 17% during the H1 of 2016 despite slowdown in global economy and lower commodity prices.
In details, non-oil foreign trade jumped to Dh647b during H1, while imports had jumped at Dh401b. Also, exports and re-exports accounted for Dh74b and Dh172b, respectively.
However, the Dubai Customs trade figures showed that Dubai is progressing well in its plan to reduce reliance on oil revenues and move towards an economy that depends on foreign trade.
