(MENAFN) Egypt has posted a remarkable growth in the number of incoming tourists due to its sable destinations and the strategy adopted by the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and the Egyptian Tourism Authority in their Wahashtouna campaign, Arab News reported.
During the first ten months of 2014, a number of 8,197,917 tourists visited the country, up 1 percent compared to the same period last year.
Inbound tourism grew during October this year, an increase of 79.5 percent in tourists from across the world. 558,687 tourists visited Egypt in 2013 and that figure grew 1,002,928 in 2014.
The number of Saudi tourists visiting Egypt in grew October 2014. About 33,113 Saudi tourists visited the country in October 2014, up 98.1 percent compared with 16,715 tourists in October 2013. The number of Saudi tourists grew 64.9 percent in the first ten months of 2014 compared to the same period in 2013.
