(MENAFN) Egypt signed a collaboration protocol with the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) to offer technical and political support to the sector.
Additionally, the two sides confirmed on an early plan that depends on four aspects; security, historical tourism, establishment of new ministerial committee.
Egypt will provide security to visitors of tourist resorts and will offer maximum safety at global standards, while USD 32mn will be used to attain the security systems.
Accordingly, 61 percent of tourists considered Egypt as a major place to visit, while its income decreased last year to USD 6.1bn from USD 7.3bn during 2015.
