(MENAFN) The governments of Syria and Egypt have agreed to activate joint trade and economic cooperation and commit to the Arab Free Trade zone provisions, Sana reported.
The two sides agreed that Syria is to list all goods required to settle Damascus’s outstanding balance in the deal signed between the two sides in 1990.
Both sides agreed at the end of the Preparatory Committee meetings to commit to the Arab Free Trade area provisions, which ensures the exchange of national goods between the two countries, according to officials.
The two sides also discussed cooperation in the fields of investment, customs, banking, industries, transport and others.
