Egypt to establish solar thermal power plants by 2050

(MENAFN) Solar Energy Expert proclaimed his five-year plan to attract foreign investment and about the establishment of solar power plants in the coming period.
Moreover, the plan includes the establishment of five solar power plants with a capacity of 250 MW and links them to a subsidiary gas station for emergency purposes.
The country has all the needed human, technical and financial resources to apply solar energy projects, but it lacks the will as it delayed launching these projects.
In addition, by 2050, the country will face many challenges as its population will reach 120mn people and their water needs will amount to 120bn cubic meters.
