(MENAFN) Tourist arrivals to Egypt dropped by almost 45.9 percent in Feb a year-on-year comparison, as stated the Central Agency of Public Mobilization and Statistics.
Furthermore, the agency estimated that 346,500 tourists arrived in the country throughout Feb, compared to 640,200 tourists during the same month of 2015.
In addition, the decline is due to few numbers of Russian tourists visiting Egypt, which suspended its flights to and from Sharm El-Sheikh.
On the other hand, Saudi Arabia was the most projected country exporting tourism to Egypt in the Middle East, with 25.8 percent of the whole inbound.
