(MENAFN) EgyptAir started to prepare a shortlist of five firms in order to compete on supplying aircrafts for the modernization of the fleet.
After the list is finished, EgyptAir will notify the firms to submit their final offers and then choose a firm to award the agreement to.
Additionally, the deal involves replacing of 12 Embraer 170 aircrafts with similar capacity units for local and short flights, which will last until 2020/2021.
Earlier, Boeing had made an offer in the aircraft deal requested by EgyptAir and that the carrier recently received the fifth Boeing B737-800 NG2017.
