(MENAFN) The Egyptian Commercial Services (ECS) plans to increase Egypt’s non-petroleum exports by 10 percent as part of the Ministry of Trade’s plan to upgrade industrial development.
Meanwhile, the Ministry plans to boost non-oil exports amid trade offices and export councils, particularly following the liberalization of the pound exchange.
Accordingly, exports reached USD7.438bn in the period from Jan to the end of April, compared to USD6.545bn amid the same period of last year.
In addition, the ECS aims to open up trade and economic ties with African nations, while last year it opened five offices in African nations; Ghana, C”te d”Ivoire, Uganda, Tanzania and Djibouti.
