Egyptian exports to U.S. hit EGP10.6bn in 2016

(MENAFN) The value of Egyptian exports to the U.S. reached EGP10.6bn last year and shows 4.7 percent of Egypt’s exports to the world, compared to EGP9.4bn in 2015.
Additionally, exports of finished garments came in the first place with 56.1 percent of the whole exports of the U.S., reaching EGP5.9bn in 2016.
Moreover, the value of Egyptian imports from the U.S. reached EGP36.5bn last year and showed 5.5 percent of Egypt’s imports from the world.
Meanwhile, imports of boilers, machinery, tools and machinery ranked first with a whole value of EGP5.6bn in the cited year, compared to EGP4.3bn in 2015.
