(MENAFN) The Egyptian Natural Gas Co. (EGAS) aims to rent a gasification ship in Jordan with 500mn cubic capacity and to host it in a private port.
Accordingly, Egypt received quantities estimated at almost 200mn cubic feet of gas daily via the pipeline coming from Jordan.
Egypt signed an agreement with the kingdom in order to take advantage from the excess capacity of the gasification ship in Aqaba.
Moreover, the monthly gas import bill reached USD 250mn to supply almost 1.2bn cubic feet gas monthly to the local market.
