Egypt’s HEIA invests EGP10mn in cooled arena in Cairo airport

(MENAFN) The Horticultural Export Improvement Association (HEIA) aims to increase the capacity of the cooled arena in Cairo Intl’ Airport to increase to 120.000 tons.
Accordingly, the firm plans to establish a laboratory for the remains of pesticides on an area of 50 acres in the coming 2 years.
Meanwhile, the company has allocated USD8mn to establish the new lab, and there are recent talks with a number of fund-providing agencies to fund the project.
In addition, the association also plans to establish a center to train young farmers and raise awareness amid them about the different ways of irrigation and fertilization.
