Egypt’s NREA to pose tender for implementation of windmill mid-2017

(MENAFN) The New and Renewable Energy Authority (NREA) aims to pose a tender for the implementation of a 250 MW windmill by the middle of the coming year.
Furthermore, the project will be funded by the Agence Franciase de Developpement, the European Union, KFW Development Bank and others.
The total value of the project registers 345mn euro; it will be established in the Gulf of Suez area and is organized to be operational in 2020.
Meanwhile, the AFD has financed a number of projects worth 889mn euro, involving 886mn euro in funding and 3.176mn euro in grants.
