Egypt’s trade deficit posts USD18bn fall amid 18 months

(MENAFN) Ministry of Trade and Industry aimed to reduce the trade deficit by USD18bn amid 18 months, while 1.247 new factories were opened and 1.407 approvals were granted for new investment expansions.

Moreover, the ministry is taking a steady and balanced step in order to implement the plan of enhancing industrial development and foreign trade.

Accordingly, the ministry is linked to a huge network of free trade deals with a large number of main economic blocs in the world.

Meanwhile, a direct shipping line was launched between Egypt and Kenya to boost the terms of trade between Egypt and the African nations.
