(MENAFN) Dubai-based Emirates Airline is set to resume flights to Tripoli starting October 29, after halting the service since the wake of the civil war in the North African country, Arabian Business reported.
Emirates will fly four times a week to the Libyan capital from Dubai, using an Airbus A330-200 airplane.
Tripoli was added to Emirates’ route network in March 2001, also with a four weekly flights schedule.
Emirates rival Etihad Airways launched its own service to Tripoli, although this was briefly suspended in June when an armed militia temporarily seized control of the airport.
