(MENAFN) Emirates Airline plans to serve a third destination in Iraq flying to Erbil starting from August 12, Arabian Business reported.
Erbil is Emirates 11th new route to launch this year, following services to destinations including Dublin, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Dallas Fort Worth, Seattle, Lusaka, Harare and Ho Chi Minh City.
The Dubai flag carrier will initially launch 4 weekly flights to the capital of Iraq’s Kurdistan province, operated by Airbus A340-300. The frequency will become daily from September 1.
Emirates currently operates a daily flight to the Iraqi capital Baghdad and a four times a week service to the coastal city of Basra.
Later in summer, the carrier will start flights to Barcelona, Lisbon and Washington DC.
