(MENAFN) Emirates, one of two flag carriers of the United Arab Emirates along with Etihad Airways, is set on a global expansion plan that will add further routes to the United States, Emirates 247 reported.
The subsidiary of The Emirates Group, which is wholly owned by the government of Dubai’s Investment, said that it will take 27 new aircraft in 2015 alone.
Despite being accused by having an unjust advantage over the American carriers, the chairman and CEO of Emirates is persistent regarding the implementing of the project.
“We always learn we cannot stop, and this is really the direction of the UAE government and the Dubai government. The minute you stop, somebody will pass you,” the CEO said in a statement.
