(MENAFN) Emirates airline said that it launched flights to Munich, to become the first foreign airline to offer a scheduled A380 service to Germany, reported Khaleej Times.
The carrier added that the new service came due to strong demand, and would be one of two daily services from Dubai to the German city, a move which would boost tourism and trade between the two countries.
On the other hand, he said that starting January, the carrier would launch its Rio de Janeiro service, the city which would host the 2014 FIFA World Cup, adding that the service would also increase tourism and underline the city’s position as a leading hub for business and trade, especially within the oil and gas industries
It is worth noting that Emirates started its services to Germany since 1987, and now the carrier serves four destinations in the country, including Munich, Dusseldorf, Hamburg and Frankfurt.
