(MENAFN) Emirates, the Mideast’s largest airline and Flydubai will start to enhance their relationship in the coming 18 months as their owner aims to boost returns.
Recently, the carriers have a deal allowing their passengers to link between each other’s flights, while the push by their state owner comes through pressure on revenues at both airlines.
However, Emirate’s annual profit dropped in the year ended March 31, while Flydubai’s 2016 profit fell for a second consecutive year.
In addition, Dubai Airport, the hub for both airlines and the globe’s busiest for global travel, has become increasingly jammed amid peak periods.
