(MENAFN) Etihad Airways’ president and CEO, James Hogan, said that next year, the carrier will launch daily services to Vietnam to meet increasing demand from the Southeast Asian country, reported Arabian Business.
Hogan added that the service to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s commercial capital, will be the Abu Dhabi-based company’s sixth service within the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region.
The carrier will commence the flight in October next year, and it will be expected to strengthen joint government ventures between the two countries in areas of energy, infrastructure, tourism, and civil construction.
It is worth noting that bilateral trade between the UAE and Vietnam stands at around USD1.3 billion.
