(MENAFN) A Spokesman from Etihad Airways said that the company plans to schedule more flights from Egypt to the UAE in order to transfer people who are currently suffering from the political situation in Egypt, reported gulf News.
The spokesman said that the aviation company is working closely with the authorities in the UAE to facilitate additional flights. So far, Etihad had two flights from Egypt that landed in Abu Dhabi and that transferred 355 passengers, among which were UAE nationals and residents.
It is worth noting that Etihad’s regular schedule is not affected by the situation in Egypt. The carrier kept its Cairo and Alexandria flights with two daily flights to Cairo and four weekly flights to Alexandria.
