(MENAFN) Etisalat announced it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Huawei, the Chinese information and communications technology (ICT) giant, on joint projects in public cloud computing and information networks, Xinhua reported.
Under the MoU, Etisalat will explore the possibilities with Huawei regarding the utilizing of technologies that provide advanced value, added services, and ultimately improve Etisalat customer’s overall experience.
“This agreement would help to further advance services offerings to individuals and enterprises across the UAE while at the same time supporting Etisalat to reap the maximum value of its future network investments.” The GM of Huawei UAE said.
Etisalat and Huawei have previously worked on numerous landmark projects in the Middle East telecommunications sector during the past 10 years, including collaborating on the release of Etisalat’s 4G LTE (long-term evolution) mobile networks.
