(MENAFN) Etisalat announced it has signed a deal with Russian MTS, which will allow them to connect their roaming hubs, and enable each to widen their roaming service portfolio, Khaleej Times reported.
Under the deal, Etisalat will provide access to MTS for regional roaming in the Middle East and Africa, while MTS will extend Etisalat’s reach across their Eurasian network.
These partnerships in hubs will enable both companies to facilitate roaming connectivity between more mobile networks, launch new services and ensure high quality voice and data services for both telecommunications companies
“We are delighted to be working with MTS, a long-term partner, to extend the reach of both companies. Smart Roaming Hub provides an innovative platform to provide flexible roaming services for our customers as well as a more efficient platform for launching new services on a global basis,” Executive vice-president of Etisalat said.
