EU gives JD30mn to support Jordan’s water, sanitation projects
26 Dec 2016
(MENAFN) EU grants Jordan for water and sanitation work, worth almost JD30mn, were signed by Minister of Planning and Intl’ Cooperation.
Additionally, the new water and sanitation projects will help Jordanian host communities and the Syrian refugee population in the kingdom.
Moreover, the whole cost of the project would be 144mn euros, with 50 perent being comprised by loans from the AFD and the German Development Bank.
The Water Authority of Jordan will manage 11mn euros from this grant in order to help water distribution networks in Irbid, while the 10mn euros will offer access to water for Jordanians and Syrians.
