(MENAFN) Facebook said that its base of users in the Middle East and North Africa surpassed 45 million, with 20 million users connecting daily, Arabian Business reported.
The figures were released at the official launch of its first office in the Middle East in Dubai recently.
The top social network firm said it will target regional fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies in the GCC region to increase it advertising business revenues, amid slowdown in Europe.
Facebook said it is already in business with Dubai-based Emirates Airline, Qatar’s Al Jazeera Network and PepsiCo to grow their social network presence and its primary focus will be multinationals.
