(MENAFN) On Wednesday, senior Facebook officials announced that they will open a regional Facebook office at Dubai Internet City, reported Khaleej Times.
Joanna Shields, the regional Vice-President and Managing Director for Facebook Europe, Middle East and Africa said: “Today is a very exciting day for Facebook. We are delighted to announce our opening in Dubai and this is going to be our first office in the region.”
The aim of the regional office is to entice local businesses into using Facebook to market their products to reach a broader audience.
Almost one in every seven people use Facebook, making it a great marketing platform for established or new companies. Shields also said: “in an open and connected world, more and more companies are realising that Facebook is the place where they can build strong connections with their customers. We are here to share our experience and learn from the many talented, creative people in this part of the globe.”
