(MENAFN) Fluor Corporation said that it has signed a contract with Abu Dhabi Department of Transport (DoT) to provide program management consultancy (PMC) services for the emirate’s overall Integrated Public Transportation Network (IPTN), Khaleej Times reported.
The project is part of DoT’s plan to invest $82 billion in the transport network of Abu Dhabi, which includes the construction of roads and a light rail.
Fluor was awarded the DoT contract after a competitive procurement process that included a number of international competitors with significant transportation and management consultancy experience, the company said in a statement. The DoT used a panel of experts to evaluate the proposals.
Fluor will provide consulting services to the DoT on all aspects of the program, including transportation modeling, system integration, design, procurement, construction, commercial development, funding analysis and other relevant components, the company said.
