(MENAFN) The CEO of Flydubai, Ghaith Al Ghaith, said that the UAE’s first low-cost airline decided to increase its flights to Bangladesh by 100 percent as it launched its new service to the country’s capital, Dhaka, reported Gulf News.
Al Ghaith said that Bangladesh was added to Flydubai’s destinations in January 2011 with a four-times-a-week service to the city of Chittagong.
The CEO said that Dhaka is considered to be flydubai’s 32nd destination. The launch of the service to the capital city would further strengthen trade and tourism ties between the UAE Bangladesh.
It is worth noting that more than half a million Bangladeshi emigrants live and work in the UAE and transfer around USD2 billion each year to their country.
