flydubai to start Maldives route in Jan

(MENAFN) flydubai CEO, Ghaith Al Ghaith, announced that starting January 19, the budget carrier will launch the Maldives route, reported Arabian Business.

Al Ghaith said that the 5 weekly flights will depart Dubai International Airport’s Terminal 2 and arrive to Ibrahim Nasir International Airport in the capital Male.

The service to the Indian Ocean islands will be launched on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The route is expected to witness strong demand, mainly from GCC countries, Russia, CIS and Central & Eastern Europe.
