(MENAFN) French and Palestinian officials have agreed on a joint industrial park in Bethlehem which aims to attract foreign and Palestinian investors to the West Bank, AP reported.
Head of the park initiative, Samir Hazboun, said that the industrial park is expected to create nearly 7,000 jobs.
He added that Peugeot, France Telecom and other French frims have plans to build facilities in the park, which is expected to open next year. The French government has earmarked $13 million to the project, Hazboun said.
