(MENAFN) The whole investment in GCC is estimated at USD394.9bn in the industrial sector, while the GCC with 17.596 factories employ almost 1.66mn workers.
Accordingly, almost 3.125 factories operated in the manufacture of metal products, followed by 2.978 factories in the manufacturing of non-metallic mineral products.
Meanwhile, the Gulf industrial sector provided job chances to almost 1.66mn workers, most of them in the manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products with 278.400 employees.
The largest share of big and medium factories went to Saudi Arabia with 1.774 big and 1.531 medium factories, while the UAE had the biggest share of small factories at 5.433.
