GM sales in the GCC up 48% in July

(MENAFN) General Motors said sales in the GCC advanced strongly in July, led by Cadillac and Chevrolet, Saudi Gazette reported.

Cadillac sales in the oil-rich Gulf countries jumped by 48 percent last month compared to a year earlier, led by strong sales of its CTS, Escalade and SRX models, while sales of Chevrolet increased 7 percent.

Cadillac sales more than doubled in the UAE, Qatar and Oman during July, while it climbed 23 percent in Saudi Arabia, the report said.

Chevrolet sales saw a 49 percent jump in the UAE, and 38 percent in Oman, and 16 percent in Qatar, and 6 percent in Saudi Arabia.

Sales of GM’s passenger cars performed well in July with an increase of 38 percent in the GCC.
