(MENAFN) Gulf Air chief executive officer, Samer Majali, said that the carrier started direct services for the first time to Switzerland, reported Gulf Daily News.
Majali said that the new Flight GF 0023 took off from Bahrain International Airport and landed in Geneva International Airport to a fireman’s salute water-arch ceremony.
Majali expressed his gratitude to Swiss authorities for the granting of landing rights in Switzerland. He added that Gulf Air is committed towards connecting Bahrain to main global destinations such as Geneva as it is one of the world’s leading markets and financial destinations.
It is worth noting that Gulf Air is the flag carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain and is headquartered in Muharraq near the Bahrain International Airport.
