(MENAFN) Gulf Air said it is looking at a new technology, which will enable the carrier to have real-time data analytics resulting in boosting operations and finances, Gulf Daily News reported.
These new technologies, added with the previous ones the carrier has implemented such as the ‘Big Data in our Private Cloud’ have allowed Gulf Air to enhance its business intelligence and analytics as well as monitoring the customers’ feedback and public perception about Gulf Air.
The airline’s virtualized data center currently has over 100 applications with more than 100 terabytes of business data, across 250 servers and the airline has been lately emphasizing on automation and cloud computing technologies in its goal to deliver benefits to both passengers and airline staff.
‘Following last year’s achievement in earning the ISO certification for Gulf Air’s information security management system, we are aiming to become one of the leading carriers to offer the best IT solutions to enhance every passenger’s journey,’ Gulf Air information technology Director said.
