Gulf Intl Services posts QR1.25bn revenue in H1

(MENAFN) Gulf Intl Services (GIS) has recorded whole revenue of QR1.25bn in the Jan-June period of this year, down by 22 percent compared to the same period of 2016.
Furthermore, the Group’s revenue for the period of this year closed at QR15.8mn, while earnings per share were QR0.09 as of June 30, 2017.
Additionally, GIS is the largest services group in Qatar with interests in a broad cross-section of industries, ranging from insurance, re-insurance, onshore and offshore drilling.
Accordingly, the drilling segment of the group continues to face challenges and the revenue of the segment dropped due to lower daily rate of rigs.
