(MENAFN) HP Personal Systems Group Middle East’s general manager, Salim Ziade, said that since growth in Europe and the US weakened, the company plans to expand its presence in the Middle East, reported Gulf News.
Ziade added that the region is one of the regions with the biggest growth and biggest potential, and HP would take advantage of that growth, through making significant investments in terms of people, office openings and marketing.
He also said that at the current time, the company’s market share in the Gulf is nearly 30 percent, adding that HP’s growth in the UAE exceeded 20 percent in 2011 over the previous year.
It is worth noting that the computer manufacturer plans to add another 100,000 units to the market, in terms of figures, in order to grow above the market rate of 10-15 percent.
