In celebration of its 50th anniversary BBK launches its limited edition debit cards

On the occasion of its Golden Jubilee celebrations, BBK, Bahrain’s pioneer in retail and commercial banking, has announced the launch of a series of special-edition debit cards.

Customers can issue their special edition Debit Cards instantly at any of the Debit Card Issuance machines available at select BBK branches. The Debit Cards can be issued from the machines upon account opening or collected from the branches upon renewal. If the customers wish to reissue their cards before the expiry date, fees and charges will apply.

The BBK Debit Card enables cardholders to withdraw cash from their account at any ATM in the world that accepts Visa. The card is contactless with a “tap and go” feature, enabling convenience when paying through Point of Sale (POS) machines, and is protected by one-time password (OTP). In addition to that, customers are able to make cardless cash withdrawals at any BBK ATM using their ID number and mobile phone. Moreover, the BBK Debit Cards can be enabled for Apple Pay, Samsung Wallet, Fitbit Pay and Garmin Pay payments.

Dr. Adel Salem, General Manager of Retail Banking at BBK stated; “These special edition cards represent a token of the Bank’s 50-year journey that we thought of sharing with our valued customers.” He reiterated that the Golden Jubilee celebrations will continue until February, 2023 with prizes and initiatives such as the loan settlement campaign of 50 customers, the “win 50% of your BBK credit card spending back”, “get your credit card balance settled”, and the two grand prizes worth BD 750,000 from Al Hayrat.

He concluded: “The Bank has been strengthening its profile since the 1970s by providing the best financial and banking services in the sector. BBK continues to contribute to the national economy and wants to help oversee a comprehensive renaissance within the Kingdom of Bahrain”.

It is noteworthy that the cards are available in limited quantities until stocks last at the following branches: Exhibition Road FM, Isa Town FM, Riffa FM, Budaiya FM, Suq Waqif branch, Muharraq FM, Main branch, City Center branch, Atrium Mall branch, Liwan Branch, Souq AlBaraha branch.
