(MENAFN) The commercial attache at the UAE Embassy in New Delhi, Mana al Suwaidi, stated that Indian franchises dominated the Franchise UAE retail show, a sign that Indian businesses eye expanding more in the UAE, reported The National.
Al Suwaidi also said that more than 50 businesses were exhibiting at the retail show, 85 percent of which were Indian. He pointed out that the exhibited sectors included food, beverages, jewelry and education.
The attache added that the Ministry of Foreign Trade plans on fostering and improving the business relations between the UAE and India.
It is worth noting that Gitanjali Group, one of India’s biggest jewelry companies, seeks bringing its brand to the markets of the UAE through franchising, as it stated during the show.
