(MENAFN) A director at Larsen & Toubro, Rangaswami, said that the India-based company plans on recruiting more engineers in the Middle East, as the company seeks increasing its capacity to be able to secure future bids that would be suggested in Qatar for the FIFA World Cup 2022, reported Bloomberg.
Rangaswami said that the plan is to double the company’s current staff in the Middle East to reach 1,500 workers in a year.
India’s biggest builder of power networks and airports said that it expects Qatar to launch bids for 40 to 50 large projects, including construction of roads and buildings over the course of the coming year, thus an increase in staff is smart step for the company.
