India’s L&T wins USD817mn Qatar power project deals
11 Apr 2017
(MENAFN) India’s major engineering and construction firm L&T proclaimed that it has obtained its single largest order in the Mideast at USD817mn from Qatar Elect & Water Corp.
Accordingly, the contract was given to the power transmission and distribution business of L&T for Qatar’s Elect Transmission Network Expansion Plan-Phase 13.
Additionally, the scope of work includes the engineering, procurement and building of 30 new gas-insulated substations of different voltage levels of 220kV.
“The development drive in Qatar is in high gear and we are proud to be partnering in it by bagging yet another prestigious project from Kahramaa,” said deputy managing director of L&T.
