Iraq plans to launch metro between Karbala, Najaf

(MENAFN) An Iraqi news network reported that Iraq is planning to launch an elevated metro between its two central cities of Karbala and Najaf and has approached a Chinese company to conduct a study on the project.
Also Iraqi”s Transport Minister discussed the project in Baghdad with a delegation from the China North Industries Corp (Norinco), and they discussed the manufacturing of vehicles, machinery, oilfield equipment and other products.
Sumeria News said: “The minister reached an agreement with Norinco to conduct on a preliminary study.”
And the statement said the Chinese firm will sign an MOU with the ministry for the study after visiting projects sites.
