(MENAFN) An official at Iraq’s Oil Ministry said that the country’s oil exports dropped slightly in April to 1.767 million barrels per day (bpd) from 1.79 million bpd in March, Reuters reported.
In April, Iraq exported an average of 1.42 million bpd from the southern oil hub of Basra and 341,965 bpd from the northern oilfields around Kirkuk, including nearly 9,983 bpd by trucks to Jordan.
The official said the reason behind the decline in exports was due to bad weather in Basra and a brief suspension of exports through the Kirkuk-Ceyhan pipeline after a bomb attack last month.
