Israeli TV channel’s unexpected closing shocks staff

(MENAFN) Hours after its staff was informed of their chaneel”s sudden closing, Israel’s TV news channel came to a passionate end.
Staff of Mabat LaHadashot (A Glance At The News) on Channel 1 expressed their anger of being deprived of a dignified farewell after almost five decades on air.
The closure came as parliament accepted the cancelation of the Israeli Broadcasting Authority (IBA).
A smaller channel, known as Kan, will take its place.
