(MENAFN) The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) said that a delegation made of a number of small and medium Japanese enterprises (SMEs) have expressed their interest in exploring the numerous investment and business opportunities on offer in Sharjah, Khaleej Time reported.
The Japanese delegation said that they were impressed with the advances being made in Sharjah’s renewable energy sector, especially in Sharjah’s plans of having a zero-waste to landfill ration by 2015.
The Japanese companies also expressed their interest in expanding their operations into Sharjah, due to the emirate’s strategic location and excellent infrastructure, which makes it an ideal base for business operations in the Middle East.
