Japan’s JICA to loan Egypt USD392m for developing metro line

(MENAFN) The Egyptian Planning and International Cooperation Minister, Faiza Abu El-Naga, announced that the country would get a USD392 loan from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for the purpose of developing a metro line, reported Reuters.

The minister said that this loan would be the first installment in a USD1.28 billion loan provided by JICA.

It is worth mentioning that the new line would be Cairo’s fourth and would have a total estimated cost of USD2.49 billion.
