(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia’s largest stationary and electronics retailer Jarir Marketing Co unveiled plans to expand its chain by 10 new showrooms in the Kingdom over the next two years, Arabian Business reported.
Jarir recently opened Jarir Bookstore in Riyadh, its ninth showroom in the city, bringing the total number of showrooms to 32 in Saudi Arabia and GCC countries.
CEO Abdulkareem Al Agil said Jarir had invested more than USD4 million in the new showroom which offers more than 7,000 office and school supplies and more than 30,000 titles of Arabic and English books, and electronics.
In July, Jarir reported an 8.4 percent increase in quarterly profits on higher sales of all categories, particularly smartphones, tablet PCs and video games.
The company said it made USD28.44 million net profit during the second quarter, up from USD26.23 million a year earlier.
