Jeddah metro USD12b budget to witness further tenders

(MENAFN) Saudi is set to offer numerous contracts for the Jeddah metro project, scheduled in the second half of 2016, following preliminary design completion, Saudi Gazette reported.
According to the CEO of Jeddah Metro Company, the construction contracts will include viable five or six consultancy contracts, with a plan to build a 149-kilometre network and 18km belowground railing.
“The Jeddah metro project is still in the design planning stage. Once this stage is completed, we will tender several contracts in mid-2016,” the CEO of Jeddah Metro Company said in a statement.
