Jordan aims 300MW energy power plants

(MENAFN) Jordan has invited bids for the building of six wind and solar energy power plants, which will have a total capacity of 300 MW.

Moreover, the project will involve building of four solar-run power plants with a total capacity of 50MW each and 2 wind plants with a 50MW capacity each.

Accordingly, the launch of these projects, the total capacity of renewable energy projects in the kingdom will reach 1.600MW by 2020.

The recent legal framework has generated momentum for energy projects, but there are issues that could limit the sector’s more growth.
